Feedback, not flattery
Get College Essay Feedback That Points at the Problem
Most essay feedback falls into two camps: “this is great!” or “make it more personal”. Neither tells you what to change on line 14. This report quotes the sentence, names the issue and gives you a question to write toward.
- A real story with a clear central moment
- Reflection that shows how you think, not just what happened
- A voice that sounds like a seventeen-year-old, not a brochure

Scores come from our own writing rubric. They are not official admissions ratings and do not predict admission.
What good feedback includes
- 01
A quotation
The exact sentence or passage being discussed, so you can find it and judge the note for yourself.
- 02
A diagnosis
What a reader hears when they read it. Not “weak”, but “this tells the reader the lesson instead of showing the moment you learned it”.
- 03
A direction
The question to answer or the kind of detail to add — not a rewritten sentence for you to paste.
- 04
A priority
Whether this is the first thing to fix or a polish item. Students usually have limited time; the order matters.
How to use the report
Start with the top three improvements, not the line notes. Rewrite the section they point to, then re-read the line feedback for that section. Do not try to address every note in one pass — the score will move most from the structural fixes.
When you have a new draft, submit it to the same essay. The comparison view shows which dimensions moved and which did not.
What this feedback is not
- Not an admissions prediction or an official university rating
- Not a replacement essay or rewritten paragraphs
- Not an AI-authorship detector
- Not a guarantee that a higher score means a better admissions outcome
Get College Essay Feedback That Points at the Problem: questions
How fast is the feedback?+
Most reviews finish in 20–40 seconds. The report is generated once and saved, so you can return to it without re-running the analysis.
Can I get feedback on more than one essay?+
Yes. Each review is stored separately. A pack of credits lets you unlock the full line feedback on multiple essays, and the workspace keeps a history of drafts.
Do you offer human review?+
No. This is an AI review using a published rubric. If you want a human reader, share the report with a teacher or counselor — the quoted evidence makes that conversation more specific.
